Capones Island: The Charmer

i woke up early the next day despite having uncomfortable sleep the whole night. i dont mind sharing the tent with six friends. IT.IS.THE.RAIN. being the early bird, i decided to just drag myself and made coffee for myself and for those who are already awake.

i asked one of my friends to go for a swim and luckily she agreed. 5:00am pa ata yun. to our delight, the water is not just crystal clear but warm too. we only stop when everyone in the cove was already up as it is our cue to leave. we have arranged with the boatmen that we will be leaving as early as 8:00am for Capones island sidetrip before going back to Pundaquit.

a 30-minute boat ride is all it takes for you to reach Capones island from Anawangin cove. to our dismay, our boatman just gave us 30 minutes to explore the island. wtf.

the rough waters of the island. we should've gone here earlier.

the much needed jump shot. a trip without it is incomplete. lol
it would've been better if the whole trip to Capones involved the tour to the century-old lighthouse which i'm dying to go. (i have this liking to lighthouses ever since i laid my eyes on the first one I went in Bolinao,Pangasinan). unfortunately, our boatmen didn't take us there. i was guessing the rough waters of the island killed it. :'(

so long Capones island for now, we all have the time in the world to meet again, soon! next time, i'll see to it we'll visit you the earliest time we can afford.

IMPORTANT: please bring extra covers/blankets since the island does not have trees for shades. sobrang tindi ng araw dun.

ciao,

Tristan
