Discovering Binondo

After getting inspired from a blogger's post about his food adventure in the world's oldest Chinatown, I, along with few friends, troop to Binondo on a cloudy Saturday morning. We have agreed to stay (as much as we can) on our 300-peso budget for our food expenses.

1.) Us. On our way to Dong Bei Dumplings. 2.) random building 3.) First stop. 4.) fresh dumplings. 5.) the preparation. 6.) Inset is Ivan Man Dy of Old Manila Walks. 7.) the fantastic dumpling. This kicked off our day! At Php120 per order, this is already good for 4 persons. 8.) Dong Bei's staff preparing more dumplings for daily customers and tourists alike.

1.) Us again on our way to our second stop. I think we're a bit lost here. 2.) Mr. Ube. We made up our minds to just check this place out though we don't have it on our "supposed"list, lol! 3.) The map. Our trip that day depended on this piece of paper. Its as if our smartphones are not GPS-enabled but hey extra precautions will nor hurt plus this way is more exciting. It reminds me of an old boy scout exercise back in grade school. Time flies.SO.FAST. 3-4.) These were some noodle dishes we ordered. I did not include the generic ones we had like liempo or fish dish on their menu. We're happy we tried these as they satisfy our bellies. Each order was intended for one person but we ended sharing! You know why. :)
